End Exhibition

For the end exhibition we had to make a video interactive . Our video consists of the new glasses introduced by the government with which you can get slight tax refund if your daily habits are environmental friendly. In the video you can choose between taking a bath or a shower,  a transportation method, salad or meat and if you agre or not with the glasses implementation. Are you environmental friendly? Give it a try.

Group video image^^ (Not me in the image)

The end exhibition consisted of a multiple presentation of videos in a space called “Smart Xp”. In Smart Xp each group had a table and most likely a monitor and headphones to present thier work(not all groups had monitors, some had to use laptops). Each group presented their work to the people that arrived to thier table such as parents, module coordinator, module director, teachers and other create students. It was a nice experience to watch all the different videos of other creative technologist because of the variety of topics and different ideas.

Peer Review

For the assignment to review a peer I had to review a nice webpage from other student in our module. You can give it a look using the following link

From reviewing I learned that is easier to view other’s mistakes or imperfections rather than our own. This is because we are more used to criticize others. By doing this I realized that things I pointed out as insufficient or not enough for some tasks are also a problem in my own site. Do to this I have decided to make some more changes into my site’s design and content. After all it was very useful for me to highlight weaknesses in my site.

Regarding the analisis of the page in the site I mentioned earlier the page “portfolio”  is quite simple in design and in code aswell. This causes the audience to feel “bored”. Also the menu has no interaction and you do not know where are you at. Nevertheless the font and colors match good  and so does the design in the top of the screen.

Technical Details: Using some basic functions and/or commands in html, css, positioning  text and adding an  image source , the content was achieved. The code used for the page is very little, but it satisfies the goal.

Personal Design

Hello there this is Frans Beets and now I will introduce to you how I have changed my page layout to my own creative design. First I have added an image of myself in the UT as a header. Isn’t nice? I have also added a dark blue line in the right and light blue in the background by inspectioning the code. That is all for the page layout, but dont worry more changes are in progress.  To show my personality, I post at least one image in each post, this to make it more attractive for viewers.

Thanks for reading.

We Create

Regarding to Create

Creating functions for my creature in programming was a complete success, since the program crashed every five minutes  I had to use notepad for my coding. Using notepad allowed me to continue with my work and to catch up some assignments.

Site design seems ok, but I am looking forward to change to a child theme to customize more features and have my personality plasmed.

Site design & posts

This weeks I will be posting about things I find interesting such as sports and other activities. Each post will describe the event and have one photo. For site design mi idea is already as I wanted , but will be improving constantly for better looking. One of the things I want to change is where the content of my portfolio will be displayed for it to highlight the things I have done. I’m also looking in publishing some of my visual communication assignments. Last I will be also posting more things about myself to get  people to know me a little better.

My Gogbot visit

After a long day in the UT I decided to go to the Gogbot festival located in Enschede. When arrived I identified wierd noices, annoying, that was the “music” in the festival. You could try a mix yourself, but that was not helpful music got worse. Later I tried the “Hacker Enschede” where you could play some games. Games worked and were fun, but after a while it became boring. Next I went to the Zombie Apocalypses themed exposition. That I liked the most design of the cars and setting was very accurate with the theme, although I doubt they have other use in real life other than exposition or filming. Also tried the mystic ball inside the building. It was suposed to react to your movement, but it did not work well. Last, I searched for another exposition and found a curious device an antenna that created sound with the movement of its nearby surroundings. It was interesting, but very annoying. The sound created was way too disturbing. Finally I decided it was time to go home, but not before having something to eat. I had hamburgers with two friends from Create and after that we all went home.
