PortfolioShowcase
This is me, Yilun CHEN. I am Chinese and I love to paly basketball and games.Not really good at web designing but I will try mt best to do what I can do.
This is a japanese movie character called kamen rider. I change the style they draw it and this one in more like a metel design style. The interesting thing about this is I only use one element to draw the whole thing, which is a trapzoid.
This is the creature I made for programming, a bb-8 robot from star wars. It will bounce between the edge automatically and if you press the mouse it will update the position to where you clicked. and if you press the keyboard it will be given a radom speed and move with that speed instead.
Build this on a website called tinkercad it is a whistle.

First thing first the website has a red background and this caught my eye at the first look. Then the navigation bar is clear and easy to use. He also did the sub-navigation on portfolio which well safe viewer's time from looking for one specific work. It has a vedio link on the portfolio also which you can check it on his website but not youtube. Using of css and font style is also very good it could make the site unique. But one thing is for the blog part I think is a little bit messy since the edge between
I don't know what is going on with his website and this is some kind of website I can finish in 1 hour. Or maybe he forgot to upload it somehow?

hum... this website is very simple. It only contain 3 pages and only the home page have some contents. The other pages are portfolio and others I don't know what are these pages doing here since they don't have anything ... The code is really simple also no style no css only the navigation bar work well.
I don't know what is going on with his website and this is some kind of website I can finish in 1 hour. Or maybe he forgot to upload it somehow?

First of all the web page has a very brief navigation bar which tells you how many parts it contains. Then the javascript part is very good it used iframe to put another website into this website. After that it goes to a bunch of pictures but to me those pictures are to big may be he or she can make it smaller and add a "view" buttom for people who wnant to see the whole picture. What else is it doesn't have a clear egde between bolg part and portfolio part. For the contact part I could only find the name of the student but without any information.
So in my opinion he or she still have to work harder on this website.

Personal touch
The fist css in the file helps is the design for the icons on the navigation bar. The second one helps the website organized in a horizontal line and also make sure that the picture's edge are not touching each other. The last one that am satisfied is there is a css document helps my portfolio navigation looks better.

Gogbot festival
I went to the Gogbot at the weekend and I saw lots of interestig staffs. Than it starts raining me and my firend had a dinner together and then we just went back home. The zombie room was very interesting and we both enjoy the afternoon. They also have a robot band which I loved the most so basicly there are four robots standing on the stage and playing instrument even though they didn't actually played but it is fun to watch them dancing on the stage and pretend they are playing.

Site Design
My site will contain 4 main parts currently which is Home, Portfolio, Blog and contact me. As you can see from the picture the home page is just some basic information about me and has a buttom links to portfolio. Than it goes to portfolio which will have a horizontal showcase that shows my recent work. You are able to click left and right buttom to view more. After that is my blog. You can slide down to see more and the blog will be shown in tansparent blocks. The last one is the contact me. It will contain my personal information and I will leave three blanks for people who want to cantact me. The text on the side will tell you my post address, email and my number.
