Altering Fonts

For a recent Visual Communication assignment, we were asked to choose a specific font type and alter some aspects of it to better suit our aesthetic opinion. Being from Egypt, I decided to choose the Arabic language since it was relevant¬†to my cultural background. After analyzing the roots of the language, I decided it would be best to use the existing foundations in order to build-upon versatility. Since Arabic does not contain the¬†phonetic letters for ‘P’ and ‘V’ I trimmed existing accents and added them to base letters to create the illusion of these new letters.
