Module 1 has drawn to an end and so last Tuesday we organized the final module expo. When I say we I really mean a few brave students organized the whole ordeal and we had the chance to present our work of the past module, most notably the final video project. I’m sad to report our video project (which you can find here) didn’t win the competition, but then again we weren’t expecting to win anything at all. Not everything turned out quite the way we wanted it to and some of the other groups had honestly amazing videos so all in all we were very pleased with our middle of the pack qualification.

The rest of the expo was a lot of fun. Seeing all the different videos people made was very cool to see and there were some fun final programming assignments to check out and play as well. The best thing I saw however was the difference between everyone’s work. You’d think people would complete the same assignments in a very similar fashion to each-other, but the disparities between all the projects (not just the videos but the programming assignments as well) showed me why I chose this study. There is so much freedom to integrate your own ideas into everything you do which is something I always felt my schools lacked. So after module 1 I can say it hasn’t scared me in the slightest but rather reaffirmed my feeling that my choice of studies was the right one.
