In the 7th module, our project was to think of an idea for a start-up company. Our project group thought of an idea for an app called Grocify. We tried to address two problems, the first of which was that young professionals and students working long hours in either libraries or at work, have no time to do their groceries and resort to unhealthy instant or ready-made meals instead. The second problem was that nowadays, young professionals and students (our target group) treat their homes like places to rest between hours at university/the library or work and don't really know their neighbours and or neighbourhood.

Our start-up constructed an entire business plan for our solution to these two problems, a platform for request based grocery delivery. The application, called Grocify, is a platform where users can upload their grocery lists along with a small monetary compensation for delivery. Deliverers will get a notification on their phones if their home address is within a kilometre's radius of the request, and can choose to accept the request or not depending on the price and or location. Users can request specific pick up times and or delivery locations through the app and include pictures of specific products if they so choose.

The goal of this application is to make it more convenient for students and young professionals to eat having and healthily and to bring them closer to their neighbours/neighbourhood through small interactions during the delivery.
