A review

a screenshot of the website that I reviewed

This morning I reviewed someone else’s site. To be specific: this site. It didn’t only helped the person I gave feedback, it helped me as well.

While I was reviewing, I looked really critical at the design and the way the site was build. I looked at the design critically, search for things that were not working and maybe the hardest part: trying to give those things a name and write them down.

Floortje made her whole site by herself. The design, the html code and the css; everything was made by her. I found it pretty impressive, because I know how hard coding can be if you never did it before. (here speaks someone with the same problem) I also spotted some JavaScript code for the counter on her homepage.

Her site looked very good overall. The design was really personal. Navigating through the site was easy and everything worked really good. I liked that she had some buttons that are linked to her social media pages. And you could click on her work in the portfolio and were sent to another page with a bigger picture and more information.

After the review, I looked at my own site again and I looked at it in a different way. I was more critical and saw things that need some improvement. The review that I got on my site helped as well. I will make adjustments to my site soon. When it’s done I will surely write a new blogpost about it :-)
