Peer reviews

10-12-2019

After reviewing 3 different sites on their overall performance I think that site Nr. 2 was the best. This site felt the most complete and was easy to use. site Nr. 3 was also quite nice. But especially Nr. 1 felt unfinished. It was interesting to see what other people are doing and you can see that everyone has a different take on making their own site. To see a table about my reviews of these sites click here.

Exposition

07-11-2019

The day before yesterday we were invited to show our work of the first module. This meant that we could show our posters, the processing programs, the websites and our final video project. If you want to see more about the video project, you can click here. I think the exposition took a little to long for the work we had to showcase. But it was a nice event anyway. I think this is a good way to finalize a module, and it is also nice to see the works of other CreaTers.

Peer review

Our next assignment was to look at someone’s site and give a review. I reviewed the site of Yoordie, you can visit his site by clicking on this link. His site has a clean layout which I like. The only problem is that it doesn’t have a contact page. I like how he created a black box around the page you are on, I might do something like that on my own site. If you analyze the site, you can see that there is no {meta name="generator" content="WordPress 5.2.3" /} tag, therefor it was not made with WordPress. It also has a proper css stylesheet which is good. There are some photos on the homepage which you can click on, but the portfolio does not use a gallery. Overall it is a pretty nice site.

Website progress

All my pages have something on them right now. They don't all work yet, but I am working on that. I am trying to give my website my personal touch by focussing on the small details. like the color change when you hover over the navbar buttons. You can see how I did that right here.

Processing creature

Another course of Creative technology is programming. We learn how to programm in processing, which is quite simular to Java. My progress on that course is visable on my portfolio, where I showed some of my latest work. If you want to check it out, you can click here to visit my portfolio.

It is a project I did in high school with another student, we made a hoverboard out of basic household materials and we mannaged to make it work. I invite you to see the project for yourself, you can click here to visit my portfolio.

Interactive video

20-09-2019

The first module of Creative Technology ends with a video project. We have to make an interactive video with groups of five people. The viewer can make choices in the video to influence the ending. We have two ideas for our video, we have created a storyline and a flowchart for both of the concepts. We are going to decide in the following week which idea we are using for our video.

The design of my website has changed quite a bit since last time. I Have created a layout for my website, and I am working on the navigation bar with the button. So far, I think my website is really coming together. But I still have to fill all of my pages, which I am planning on doing next week

Gogbot 2019

13-09-2019

Gogbot was an interesting experience. I am not a big fan of art, and some of the installations can be quite vague. But it is really cool to see technological advancements displayed in a creative way. Gogbot can be an inspiring event for a lot of other creators.
