spAIce race

during module four we made an installation for the technological event Gogbot. I visited the event a year prior, but due to the corona virus this upcomming year is going to be very different. We created a virtual installation with gogbots theme of quantum supremecy in mind. We tried to make people aware of some dangerous aspects of quantum supremecy in a playfull way. It turned out pretty nicely.

Locked-in syndrome

We were asked in module three to come up with a way to create a simulation of Locked-In syndrome. This is a disability which disables a person from almost all movement in his or her body. Our client wanted to have a way from some audience members to have a similar experience after her talks about the dissease. So, we create a concept using VR which did exactly that. Our final product was a concept video, down below are some shots from that video visible

This image shows some of the footage of our concept video

Maya creation

In the third module of CreaTe, we had interactive visualisation as a subject. during this course we had to make render of a certain object in Maya, a computer animation program. I made this render of a LP player which I had in real life. Down below is the comparison of the real life version, and the one made in Maya.

SupHerb

During the second module me and a couple of other students designed a smart farming solution for urban areas. The product is visable in the video below, together with the development of our product.

Interactive video

Our first module project was making an interactive video. This is a video were the viewer can make certain choices that will influence the storyline of the video. My project group members were: Jannick Siderius, Ellis Dijkstra, Jochem Sallander, Carmen Pol and me. Our video was called Harold, the Silent Agent. It is about a guy who is playing a new game, in the game he gets objectives to hack certain entities for the government. But it turns out that the hacking is for a whole other purpose. We divided our roles in the project and we made sure that everyone appears at least once in the video it was a very fun project to work on. If you want to see the video you can click here.

Processing creatures

In the first module of CreaTe, you have programming as a subject. In programming we had to make our own creature. I decided to make a couple so I could pick one later. I made a Pacman with some ghosts, a Steve character from Minecraft and a Spongebob. Especially the Spongebob was a tricky one. But I am happy with the way they all turned out.

High school hoverboard

In high school I made a hoverboard together with another student. It was made out of two vacuum cleaner engines, a big thin wooden plank and painting canvas. We did not have a way to steer with our board, but we did manage to hover above the ground. When you were standing on the board it felt like you were on ice. It was a really fun project to work on. Especially when you can do projects like this for school.
