And a proud citizen of the city of Enschede. I've lived here for a year now, but it already feels like home.
That is what I am studying now. The University of Twente is my place to be.
I like to tinker with electronics and try to fix them if they are broken (or try to improve them). I like something to be adjusted to my personal preferences.
Title
This might not seem such a personal touch, but I like to keep things organized. Minimalistic describes me; if it can be done with less, it is better.
"div class="col-md-6 col-sm-6 portfolio-item" might seem like a strange string of code to you; but this is what created my change. Think of a webpage like this; there are 12 units next to eachother on your regular laptop/desktop screen. Col-md-6 says to the div (the specific item) that it should take a width of 6 units. In this way, only 2 items fit next to eachother, and when you open my webpage on your smartphone it will automatically readjust to fit your screen! Amazing right?
Our project video is done!
We created this video with our Project group, 'Group 01'. We had given ourselves one day to shoot all of the scenes, but not before we had thought out all of the scenes. The filming was done with a GoPro hero actioncam and the camera form a Samsung Galaxy S7. This was absolutely fine, the image quality was actually surprisingly good!
As my general planning could be improved, I was kindly awarded with an extra assignment! This time it was my task to turn to jQuery and explore it more in-depth.
But other than one stubborn error in the code checking environment, I got it working!
Next assignment is in. Peer review time! Now we get to see the other persons' work. Exciting stuff.
Entering the website, you get a nice basic overview of this guy. No nonsense, clean HTML and CSS work. Easy to navigate through, easily readable and you can see that all of this guy's work was done by himself. Even though I would have personally
had watched my grammar and punctuation a little more, I still think it gets the message across fine! Pages are clear, and the blogs are nice to read.
The process of reviewing is always good. When you are critical about someone else, you start to critisize yourself too. This process made me watch my own webpage for those same mistakes, and I definitely improved some things!
I reviewed the portfolio page a little better. You can cleary see the div items for every post. The outline shadow is created with a box-shadow element. The structure is simple: header and a text section with a picture added on the bottom. No complicated jquery or java was used (at all).
I changed some stuff with my lay-out, and I added a new item in my portfolio. Basically what I did was clean up the portfolio page, and have less posts next to eachother to keep it clean.

I am working hard on this website! The lay-out is mostly complete, and soom under-the-hood stuff is still being worked on. The portfolio section is at time of writing still empty, but that will be filled soon!
As you might have noticed, I added a new post to my portfolio. It's about my Processing project, read more about it here -> Click on this!
Yeah, my second post today. These past 3 weeks it felt like I already had 2 months of college. That not only means that I am already looking forward to some vacationtime, but moreover that I have learned a lot! Programming is something I always liked to and this course makes me learn even more about it. I have gotten my eyes and words fixed by mr. Vermaas in Visual Communication and I am now also engaged in an interactive video. Lots of things happening. I will keep you posted!
I visited GogBot, a big art festival in Enschede. Here I saw what others thought was art that in some way could contribute.
Whilst not everything made sense to me, I still had a good time. The Gabey Tjon a Tham fascinated me the most, because of the moving lights. I could have sat there all day staring.
The building also was really awesome, it is a shame it is broken down soon.
