Today we had the final expo. We got a lot of positive reactions on our movie. Also saw a lot of other films which was fun. :)

Reviewing someone else site works inspiring for yourself. You can see what other people have done and gain ideas from it. I still think im at that point where analysing is easier than making. You can easily state some wrong things. But not making the mistakes yourself is much harder.
This is the Home page of the site. I thought it was a very clear site and you know very fast what it is about. I also liked the menu since it was very clear in what sections the site is divided in.I also like the colours used in the site. On the technical aspect: the site is made of html and off course some css. No use of wordpress which I really like. There is also some jQuery code on the portfolio page for the images to make them bigger and smaller which is a nice touch.
I gave him feedback on the structure within the menu. I think the differences between work and portfolio are very minor and could better be as one. Also stating what games u like to play could maybe changed in something else, because a lot of people might not like that. But I did not mind that much personally. I did give him feedback to either use the right bar or remove it. As of right now the bar on the right has useless info and does not contribute anything.

For the personal touch of my site i tried to get a vibe thats reminded of programs where you code in. I also combined a scroll menu with one that takes u to another page. I would like to experiment and hope it works out.

I am currently working on the module "We Create Identity" the first module of the study Creative Technology. I am working in the programming language processing to recreate an animal, which is slowly getting form.
Also started trying to make ideas for an interactive video that we have to make. I also made my own font in word, called "Reitsma". It is an adjustement of the gothic font. All in all we started making a lot of things in these first few weeks, and its going pretty well.

Here are my sketches for my website. One picture represents layout ideas while other one explains the connection between the pages. My idea is keeping the site as minimal but as interesting as possible. Im feeling a structure that is a bit more complex, and ill probably focus more on design after that.

Last week I went to the gogbot festival. The festival is known for combining art and technology into a exhibition that tells a story trough the form of technology. What i most liked was the stand where they presented machines that would help to make useless superpowers reality.
