GogBot 2018
Final project module 7, April 2019
For the seventh mobule we were tasked with creating a kickstarter campaign. For this we had to come up
with an idea for a company and thus also a product which we would be selling. We came up with BoxBlox a
company that woul sell fun educational toys for children aged 6 to 10. The product would consist of a
toolkit that would allow them to build a frame to which other components can be attached, such as a
motor, a light or just a sensor, which would make their toy come alive. They would also be able to
customize the look of their creation by creating their own exterior for the toy, transforming the frame
into a colorful animal, fast looking car or fearsome monster. A concept sketch can be seen below.
WarChild Blockchain
Final project module 3, April 2018
In this module we were given the opportunity to work with an actual client. We had chosen to work
together with WarChild. Their task for us was to find out what would be possible with blockchain for
them. We almost immediately came up with the idea of using the blockchain in combination with something
called cold storage (taking information out of the blockchain and having it stored offline) to transfer
money to the refugee camps. This could be hugely benificial for WarChild since their money transports
are occasionally robbed and the blockchain would remove almostal all the transaction fees. We did start
off trying to build a blockchain ourselfves, though we had neither the time nor the knowledge or skill
required. We were however able to find a company, Smilo in Almelo, who was doing almost exactly what we
had in mind and who would be willing to work with WarChild.
BlueBoard
Final project module 2, Januari 2018
Module 2 of creative technology was all about smart environment and we were thus tasked with building
one ourselves. Our project, later dubbed BlueBoard, was a smrat billboard that, using an app on
your phone, would show you advertisements you would actually like to see.
Interactive Video
Final project module 1, October 2017
For the end of module 1 we had to make an interactive video. The behind our idea was to make a video
resembling a matching day or student for a day. That's also why our video is called Are you a
creative technologist? You can view the video for yourself by clicking on the link beneath this
post!

Iron Man Head v2
Updated version of my programming creature
For programming we've had to make a creature that would be able to do some things like moving around.
Since the last post about this I have updated my creature to version 2, which will most likely also be
the last version. (well, in reality it is probably already version 14 or something). Anyhow, in this
version you are also able to "attack" the balls that fly around on screen and progress to another level
where you have more balls which also move faster!
Iron Man Head
First programming exercise
For our first programming exercise we had to create a simple figure that, when you press a
button or clicked your mouse, would do something. I decided to try and create Iron Man. The
result can be seen on the right. The figure could be moved around within the window and when
clicked, the eyes would turn from white to red.
Helpdesk App
Profile Thesis (profielwerkstuk)
For my profile thesis (or profielwerkstuk) I created, together with a friend of mine, a helpdesk app.
This would, in theory, enable the teachers to contact the ICT when they'd have a problem with their pc
without having to go to them. The app was funcional, though not so much that it could actually be
installed and used. For the system there were two clients, one for the teachers and one for the ICT, and
a server which contained a database with all the problems and solutions.
