I participated in the Vrijhof course ‘Model Drawing’. Every Monday between 7 to 10 pm a model (varying from male to woman every week) would come to pose for us for three hours. The models were nude to practice with bodily proportions and drawing anatomy. We practised by drawing multiple poses per session, each in different time frames. I learned a lot about speed drawing and how to draw perspective by looking at the model in real life as opposed to drawing from an image. I didn’t quite like the course after the first lesson, because I wasn’t that satisfied with my results, but after the second session I started to enjoy the course a lot more.
