For this modules ppc project Jan and I created an automatic cat feeder for mychubby cat, (Milo) the goal is to be able to portion Milo’s food and to be able to rely on the Munch box’s feeding abilities. We wanted to have some basic functions, for example a night mode, a buzzer so we know when feeding is finished and a few extra’s like an LCD and a ultrasonic Sensor. We started by planning the parts needed and established we need to acquire- · Arduino Uno · 3 LEDS · Breadboard · Ultrasonic Sensor · LDR · Buzzer · 360 Servo · LCD · Resistors · Wires · 3D printed parts · 4mm plywood For creating the design of the cat feeder, we used our recently acquired skills in 3D modelling. More specifically Fusion360. A software made by AutoCAD. After acquiring a 3D printer over the winter, we decided the cat feeder was the perfect test for the printer and our modelling abilities.
