Other activities M2

The things better explained with words.

Sounds & Circuits (S&C)

For S&C we had to do multiple assignments during the module. The first half was about Sounds, (co)sine, square, saw waves, etc. The second half was about Circuits, electronics, components in a circuit, electricity, etc. For both parts we had to do lab sessions, experimenting with oscilloscopes and circuits ourselves and we had to take two exams, one about sounds halfway through the module, and one about circuits at the end, which I both passed with a decent grade.

Introduction to Mathematics & Modeling (IMM)

In comparison to last module, we had to take math classes every week this module. The assignments were made on MyLabsPlus, an online environment providing excersises and explanations. The course was dividede in three parts, the first one being about triogonometry, then one about derivates and finally one about integrals. For every part there was a test, made on MyLabsPlus. This wasn’t always pleasant, since MyLabsPlus was very picky in how you had to answer (decimal number should always be presented with a ‘.’, rather than a comma, otherwise you’d get the whole question wrong), and the teacher couldn’t see your thoughtprocess, which is quite important for mathematics in my opinion. But all in all I passed the course, even though I only got 30% for the last test.

Build-up course Physics

As my challenge this module I took physics classes alongside the normal courses. Most things I already knew since I took physic classes in Highschool as well, but Eddy provided me with some excersises I could try.

Committees
This module I continued my activities within the different committees I joined in the first module, even joining one other: the Kick-In Committee! It wasn’t really my intention to join, but it sounded like they really needed people and I’m glad I joined. We’ve begun very early this year and making progress rapidly. I actually really enjoy this committee and we’re with a lot of active people, making us a really progressive group.
